Thorin's Map

| Gandalf produces this map from the folds of his robe and gives it to Thorin. It leads the willing dwarves and the unwilling Bilbo Baggins on a magnificent journey of adventure and discovery. A portion of the map was written in "moon-letters" or Moon Runes. Elrond the elf tells us, "...you cannot see them, not when you look straight at them. They can only be seen when the moon shines behind them.” Propmaster: Cool! This map is 20" x 15", very old and crinkly. The map must be drawn correctly as the audience will see it, and two extras must be available. And here it is. Larger versions are available on the web. rkm | |
